When Our Hands Tangle

When you hold my hand
Your touch disarms me,
My body melts,
My mind goes numb,
My heart beats with the speed that of light.
My hormones rush inside my bloodstream, I’m pushed towards you by an unseen force.
A desperate urge to touch you ignites.
And my breath goes with you
As soon as you withdraw your hand from mine..

  1. Wow! I really like the movement toward and then away from each other. This poem holds a nice tension between dissolving and remaining whole or the way the invisible passion flows inward then out. I like the way you manage that movement. Very good Sanskriti. Excellent use of language to describe feelings, and that’s not easy to do! Good work!

  2. Lovely poem Sanskriti! Such emotional poetry. Also it reminded me of an old song; which will probably remain stuck in my mind till morning! 😂
